Zalane M. (Kotzmoyer) Kunkel, 64 years of age, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Wednesday, April 18, 1956 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Freeman, and Eleanor (Weldon) Kotzmoyer. She was also predeceased by; brothers, Ronald, and Robert Kotzmoyer; family friend, Russell Kramer.
Surviving are; husband of 46 years, Leon B. Kunkel; daughters, Lisa Ziegler wife of Harry of Tamaqua, Zalane Kunkel and her companion Steve Blasko of Tamaqua; sisters, Marcella Staivecki wife of Joseph of Nesquehoning, Eleanor Kotzmoyer and her companion Robert Sandri of Coaldale, Beth Ancharski of Coaldale; brothers, Freeman Kotzmoyer and his wife Mary of Fresno, CA., Brian Kotzmoyer and his wife Jennifer of Pottsville; grandchildren, James, Bronson, Michael, Hannah, Abraham, all of Tamaqua. Zalane was awaiting the birth of her first great grandson, Wyatt Leon.
A graduate of Tamaqua High School, Zalane was employed as a CNA for Rest Haven Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven for thirty years.
Zalane loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, and always wished she could do more with them.
