Winifred M. "Winkie" Learn - Woods, 95 years of age passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, as a guest at Heritage Hill Senior Living Community in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Widow of, A. Sterling Learn, and Walter A. Woods, she is survived by; sons, Thomas J. Learn and his wife Georgia of Palmyra, NY, William R. Learn and his wife Karen of Leland, NC; 7 grand children; 14 great grand children; 6 great great grandchildren.
A 1940 graduate of Weatherly High School she matriculated and graduated from the McCanns School of Business. Winkie was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly, and the Friendship Club in Weatherly. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, visiting the casinos and going out to dinner.
Born Thursday, April 12, 1923 in West Hazleton the daughter of the late Daniel, and Winifred (Walsh) Mulhern. She was also predeceased by; son, A. Sterling Learn, Jr.; sisters, Mary DePuy, and Dorothy Yocum as well as many step-brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. (570) 427-4231
A Funeral Service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. Friday October 5, 2018 from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment at Mountain View Cemetery West Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
