Mr. William Villafane, M.D, age 71, of Lansford, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Hazleton, Pa.
A graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Philadelphia, William matriculated to The University of Puerto Rico and earned his Md. as a Psychologist from Princeton University . William concentrated his practice serving the Puerto Rican Communities in Philadelphia and Camden, New Jersey,
William served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed reading, all types of music, and was a history buff.
Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Pedro and Angelina Villafane.
He is survived by;
Two Daughters:
Aidette Villafane, Lansford, Pa.,
Isalda Villafane of Mass.;
Four Sons:
William Villafane, Jr. , Philadelphia,
Marco Villafane of NJ.,
Ricardo Villafane, New York City , NY,
Wayne Villafane, Tamaqua, PA;
Two Sisters:
Aida Villafane,
Hilda Villafane both of Puerto Rico;
Two Brothers:
Rafael Villafane and his wife Delia of FL.,
Peter Villafane and his wife Fern of SC.;
Seven Grand Children
Three Great-Grand Children.
Preceded in death by his son, Peter Villafane.
