William J. Solnoki, Jr., 67 years, of Schuylkill Ave. Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Born Tuesday, October 3, 1950 in New York, New York. the son of the late William J. Solnoki, Sr., and Winfred (Keating) Solnoki. William served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart receipient. He earned his associates degree in accounting and worked as a processor and clerk on the New York Stock Exchange for forty years. William also had worked as an accountant for Bank of New York. In retirement he returned to New York on weekends to work security for Parkway Ave. Security, City of New York. William was a talented musician, enjoyed doing word puzzles, and was an avid reader. William loved to take his grandchildren all over and spent most of his free time with them. Surviving are sons, William K. Solnoki and his wife Kellie of Barnesville, Keith Solnoki of Tamaqua; daughter, Tara Solnoki of Tamaqua; sister, Barbara Carrano of Queens, NY; brother, Robert Solnoki of Queens, NY.; 5 grand children whom he adored.
