William E. McCluskey, beloved father, grandfather, 90 years of age, of First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, September 5, 1931 in Lehigh Tannery, Pennsylvania, William was the son of the late Thomas E. and Julia (Haas) McCluskey. He was also predeceased by; his wife of 57 years, Lois (Boughner) McCluskey on October 1, 2009; brother, Howard, and infant brother, Laverne McCluskey.
Surviving are son, Rev. Gary N. McCluskey and his wife Mary Beth of Tempe, AZ,; daughter, Lori L. DeMoor and her husband, Robert of Weatherly; grandchildren, Randall and his wife Andrea, Autumn and her fiancé Thomas Whitehead, Chelsea; great grandchildren, Gavin and Addison.
William attended White Haven schools and was a devout member of Zion Evangelical Church, serving as an advisor to Luther League and serving on the consistory. He was an avid train collector and a member of the Train Collectors Association, having served as the Eastern Division President/Secretary/Treasurer. William was instrumental in organizing the York Train Show which is recognized as the largest show in the country.
A baseball fanatic, Bill enjoyed playing softball into his eighties while wintering in Florida. William was a Babe Ruth League baseball coach. In addition, he was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan. Bill and Lois traveled extensively in retirement.
William had worked for Tung-Sol in Weatherly before he and his late wife Lois purchased Roundhouse True value in New Foundland, Pennsylvania which they operated from 1983-1998.

A Celebration of Williams Life will be held on Monday September 27 at 6 o'clock P.M., from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Third & Fell Streets Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255, Rev. Janelle Wigand to officiate. Friends may call from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the church.
