William D. "Billy" Linkhorst, 69 years of age passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Hometown Nursing Home.
Born Saturday, July 21, 1951 in Coaldale Pennsylvania the son of the late William G. Linkhorst, Jr., and Jane A. (Laudig) Linkhorst. Billy was also predeceased by; his brother, Gary S. Linkhorst.
Surviving are brother, Kevin M. Linkhorst and his companion Jane of Tamaqua; nephew, Mark; nieces, Morgan, and Sage Linkhorst; sister - in - law, Irene Woodring and her husband Bob.
Billy was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, and the unofficial Mayor of the Dutch Hill Section of Tamaqua. Billy when able, helped many of older residents running errands, shoveling snow, and assisting Ann Demyanovich with her bus firm. Billy was a bowler, liked to shoot hoops, watch Nascar, and was a Penn State, Eagle's and Philadelphia Phillies Fan. Billy was a member of the American Hose Fire Co.
