William "Bill" K. Klingaman, Jr.

Mr. William "Bill" K. Klingaman Jr., age 66, of Schuylkill Ave., Tamaqua, Pa. died Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

A 1961 Tamaqua High School graduate, William was in the Army National Guard at Fort Jackson, S.C. , serving 6 years.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Tamaqua Elks, American Hose Fire Co., Tamaqua Ambulance Assoc., and was a former Tamaqua Borough Council member.

William was a member of the Tamaqua Masons Lodge 238 F& A.M. and served as High Priest of the Tamaqua Royal Arch Chapter #177.

He and his brothers, owned and operated Klingaman's Office Supply, Inc. in Tamaqua, and Pottsville since 1972, having acquired their interest, from their father who founded the company in the early 1950's.

Born in Coaldale, Pa., he was the son of the late William K. and Catherine Elizabeth (Hirsch) Klingaman Sr.

He is survived by his

Wife of 39 years Olivia "Libby" (Laurenti) Klingaman of Tamaqua

Sons, Eric W. Klingaman and his wife Deborah of Perkasie, and Christopher W. Klingaman and his wife Kristen of Mary-D,.

Brothers, Charles L. Klingaman and his wife Catherine, and Wayne W. Klingaman and his wife Terri all of Tamaqua

four grandchildren Keira, Caden, Jack and Ben.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 10-11 a.m.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Reverend Debra K. Ernst officiating.

Masonic Services Thursday evening at 7:30 PM.

Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua
