William E. Kissner 84, a resident of Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon, formerly of Nesquehoning, PA died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Irene Prekopa Kissner, who died September 10, 1998.
Born in Hauto, Nesquehoning he was the son of Robert Kissner and Nellie Amberg Kissner.
William was a retired machinist from Bundy Tubing where he was employed for over 30 years. He was a WW II Marine veteran having served in the both the Northern Solomon and Philippine Islands. William was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1942 and a was a long-term member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansford, PA, serving as church financial secretary for over twenty-five years. William also served on Nesquehoning Borough Council; was a member of the Nesquehoning American Legion; and was a Mason.
William is survived by son William A. Kissner of East Fallowfield & York, PA, daughters Joan C. Tout, wife of Joseph Tout of Lake Hauto, Gayle Hoffman, wife of Bryan Hoffman of Cleona, PA and Wendy Coury wife of Mark Coury of Franklin, WI. William is also survived by grandchildren, Kirsten Tout, Kurt Kissner, Joseph P. Tout and Kevin Kissner and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Kissner and sister Margret “Peggy” Kissner Frey.

Funeral Service: Monday (December 15, 2008) at 11 AM from the funeral home with the Rev. John Keiter officiating.
Interment: Sky View Memorial Park with full military honors.
