William James Jones, 82 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2017 at home while in the care of his family.
Widow of Cecilia C. (Lynn) Jones who passed on March 3, 2015, he is survived by; daughters, Lavina (Jones) wife of Richard Dean, Kimberly (Jones) Harvan wife of Dave, Amy (Jones) Toth, Rita M. (Lynn) Cavanaugh, Shelly A. Turner with whom he resided, Michele M. (Turner) Calkins and her husband Lee, Georgianne (Turner) wife of Kevin Machay, Kathy Kromer and her husband John, Roxann Sipler; sons, Christopher Jones and his wife Mary, William Jones and his wife Diane, John Turner and his wife Kathy, Jamie Turner and his wife Jenna, Eugene Perla and his wife Margaret; sister, Mrs. Catherine Derr; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews also survive William.
Bill retired from Parish Steel of Hamburg. He was an active volunteer with the South Ward Paly Ground Assoc., A ardent Eagles fan, and proud supporter of the Tamaqua Blue Raiders. Bill, enjoyed the company of his dogs.
Born Tuesday, February 12, 1935 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, son of the late Paul, and Catherine (Walters) Jones. He was also predeceased by a ; brothers, Richard, John Paul, Daniel F., and Morgan A. Jones.
Private arrangement's have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
