William Joseph Dann, father, grandfather, great grandfather, 87 years of age formerly of Bloomfield NJ.., and Hawley PA., passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, as a guest at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Born Friday, April 26, 1929 in Newark, NJ. the son of the late Bernard and Edna Dann. William was also predeceased by; daughter, Melissa Ann Dann; brothers, Jack, and Harvey Dann.
William was a graduate of Bloomfield High School in NJ. William served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and earned several medals for his service. William provided for his family as a plumber and worked in the family plumbing business. William was an avid golfer, devoted Yankee and NY Giants fan, and member of the Livingston, New Jersey V.F.W.
Raised in the Catholic faith, William later in life became a born again Christian. He loved the outdoors enjoyed the peace and beauty of the Pennsylvania mountains.
A loving father he is survived by; son, William Michael Dann and his wife Jayne of Edison, NJ,; daughters, Kathleen Susan McWilliams of Wimauma, FL,; Sharon Elizabeth Dann of Tarpon Springs, FL and Leslie Ellen Sheedy wife of Michael W. of Boise, ID; brother, Bobby Dann of Florida; 4 grand children; 4 great grand children.
