William James Bonenberger, Sr., 90 years of age, of Clay Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021, at home while in the tender care of his wife Dolores Ann (Davidyock) Bonenberger.
Born Friday, January 16, 1931 in Brockton, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph, and Catherine (Schneider) Bonenberger. Bill was also predeceased by; first wife, Ida P. (Tenisci) Bonenberger on Sept. 19, 1998; sister, Marie McMullen; brothers, Joseph V., and Thomas Bonenberger.
Surviving are sons, William J. Bonenberger, and his wife Janet of Harleysville, David J. Bonenberger and his wife Francine of Tamaqua; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; three step children and their husbands also survive Bill along with nieces and nephews.
A 1948 graduate of the former St. Jerome R.C. High School, Tamaqua, Jim served honorably in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War, and Army National Guard. Jim had retired from ALCOA of Cressona after 20 years of service, and worked in the maintenance Dept. for the Tamaqua Area High School.
A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C,, Tamaqua Legion for 54 years, and East End Fire Company of Tamaqua, Jim was an avid Bass fisherman having enjoyed many trips to Canada.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. from St. John XX III R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
Friends may call on Monday evening November 22, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
