William R Bartel, 73 years of age of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the home of his son in Packer Township.
Survived by his children who where his care givers; son, William John Bartel and his wife Lisa; daughter, Sharon E. Shor and her husband Frank; grandchildren, Jenna, Frank, Jillian, Jacqueline, and Juliette all residing in Weatherly.
Catholic by faith, William was a graduate of Staten Island Academy. He served honorably in the United States Navy, and National Guard for twenty-nine years. William, was a member of the Staten Island V.F.W., and Catholic Veterans of Queens. He enjoyed traveling, collecting memorabilia, and was a food connoisseur.
William served as a Lieutenant for the New York City Sheriff.
Born Sunday, November 29, 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William Bartel and the late Louise Reese Bartel.
He was predeceased by brother, Benjamin Bartel.
