Wilbur J "Tottie" Burns, Jr., age 89, of Washington St., Tamaqua, formerly of Vine St., Hazleton, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at home.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rose Marie (Fisher) Burns.
He was a Navy Veteran.
Wilbur had been employed by Hazleton Brick, Hazleton, Pa.
He was Protestant by faith.
Wilbur was a member of the Hazleton Moose, Hazleton Legion and he was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan.
Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Wilbur J. Burns, Sr. and the late Sylvia (Kleintop) Burns.
He is also survived by his
Two Step-Daughters,
Cindy Kehl and her husband Gary who were his caregivers and with whom he resided and Karen Fisher and her husband Richard of Hollywood, Pa.;
One Son,
Robert T Burns and his wife Shirley of West Hazleton;
One Brother,
Robert H Burns of Hazleton;
Six grandchildren,
Violet Gabriel and her husband Joseph; Arthur Burns and his wife Sharon; Krissy Hosler and her husband Tom; Nicole Boerner; and Rosemary Taweel, and Matthew Fisher.
Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Alice (Dice) Burns in 1990; sons, Arthur Burns who passed away 4-1-2011 and infant son Thomas; brother, Carlisle Burns.
Private Arrangements at the convenience of the family are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
