Wayne T. Wagner, 71 of Laurytown Road Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania having lost his courageous battle against cancer.
Born Friday, February 17, 1950 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania the son of the late Karl T., and Beatrice (Sandrock) Wagner. Wayne was also predeceased by his sister, Linda Christine Wagner.
Surviving are; sister, Laura B. Pfeiffer and her husband Brent of Weatherly; brothers, Paul A. Wagner of Weatherly, Timothy K. Wagner and his wife Noreen of Harrisburg. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive Wayne.
A 1968 Weatherly High School graduate, Wayne matriculated to Penn State Hazleton campus earning his Associates Degree in Business in 1970. Wayne was a self employed farmer raising Black Angus cattle on his families generational farm in Lehigh Township which he owned and operated.
A Lehigh Township Supervisor for 31 years, Wayne served as a volunteer and President with the L&L Fire Company for over 25 years. He was a dedicated volunteer with the Weatherly Youth Basketball League for over 40 years serving as coach, referee, and league President. Wayne was inducted into the Weatherly Athletic Hall of Fame, and was a member Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly.
