Mr. Vito Marchiano, age 50, of Lehigh Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, November 21, 2008, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
Vito graduated from high school in Carini Italy, then served a year in the Italian Military. After attending Culinary School in Italy, Vito, came to Brooklyn New York in 1978, he bought Spataro's Italian Restaurant of Port Carbon, running it with his family until July of 2008. In July, he opened Marchinao's Italian Restaurant in New Ringgold, Pa..
Vito was amember of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Pa.
Born in Carini, the Palermo region of Italy, he was the son of the late Vincenzo Marchiano and Rosa (MiGnano) Marchiano of Carini, Italy.
He is also survived by his wife of 21 yeas, Mrs. Josephine (Amato) Marchiano;

Mr. Vincenzo "Vinny" V. Marchiano both of Tamaqua, Pa.

Miss Giuseppa Marchiano,
Mrs. Rosalia (Marchiano) Scalia wife of Mario, each living in Carini, Italy;

Mr. Antonio Marchiano of Tamaqua, Pa., with whom he worked,
Mr. Salvatore Marchiano, and
Mr. Gaetano Marchiano of Carini, Italy.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2008.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. West Broad street Tamaqua, Pa. at 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2008, Rev. Anthony Mongiello and Rev. James Bechtel officiating.
Interment will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
