Mrs. Virginia V. (Rucker) Miller, age 96, a guest of Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., Weatherly, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Weatherwood, surrounded by loving and caring family.
Virginia, had worked in A candy factory in Ohio, before coming to Pennsylvania and working in the Textile Industry.
A member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly, she loved to cook, bake, crochet, visit with friends, and watch TV. She enjoyed polka dancing.
Born in Coalton, W.V. on the 14 of March 1914, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Frances (Fronek) Rucker.
She is survived by her

Mrs. Wilma (Miller) Kern wife of Harold of Bricktown, N.J.;

Raymond Miller of Weatherly;
Five grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren;
Three great-grandchildren;
One nephew;Two nieces;
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Herbert R. Miller on Feb. 23, 1985; Son Roger Dale Miller in 1964; daughter Barbara Ann Miller in 1933; brother, Wheeler Rucker on August 4, 1995 .
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until time of services Wed. July 28, 2010.
Funeral Services Wed. July 28, 2010 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the Philip J. Jeffries F.H. 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa., Pastor Douglas S. McKeeby officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
