Virginia M. Ayres, 84 years of age formerly of Summit Hill passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Virginia had been a guest at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Weatherly for the past few years.
Born Saturday, January 9, 1932 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the daughter of the late Arthur, and Mildred (Felmely) Peterson. Virginia was also predeceased by her husband, William Ayres; sisters, Jeanne Shields, and Joyce.
A step son William Ayres and nephews survive her.
Virginia retired from Kimberly Clark of Philadelphia.
