Mr. Vincent "Hopper" S. Suzadail, age 89, of Catawissa St., Nesquehoning formerly of Tamaqua died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, Pa.
He worked as a butcher at the former Spokas, Knowles, Dietrich and Yorke's Markets all of Tamaqua, retiring at age 83.
He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C. Church of Tamaqua.
Born in New Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Wassel) Suzadail.
He is survived by his
sons, Vincent S. and his wife JoAnn of Summit Hill; Joseph A. and his wife Shirley of Clay, NY; John T. and his wife Carolyn of Tamaqua; Gerald D. of Tamaqua; and Michael A. and his wife Joan of Nesquehoning with whom he resided
sister, Martha Yednock of Temple, PA
eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mabel A. (Gerber) Suzadail; brother, Fritz Spokas; sisters, Mary Kredyt and Agatha Suzadail.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine St., Tamaqua, Pa. Reverend William Linkchorst officiating.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pa.
