Victor H. Fairchild, age 59, of Weatherly, Pa., died Saturday, February 20, 2010, unexpectedly at his home on Second Street in Weatherly, Pa.
A 1968 Weatherly High School graduate, Victor enlisted in the United States Army and became a combat photographer, having photos displayed in the Pentagon. Leaving the Military after serving fifteen years, he worked for the United States Postal Service retiring in 1998.
Victor, was Protestant by faith, and was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Roger Fairchild, Sr. and the late Virginia (Hoffman) Fairchild.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mrs. Jane M. (Wertman) Fairchild;

Mrs. Marie (Fairchild) Haas wife of Herman of White Haven,
Mrs. Rosemarie (Fairchild) King wife of Gary of Weatherly;
Two Brothers,
William Fairchild of West Hazleton,
David Fairchild and his wife Joann of Weatherly;
Nieces and nephews;
Preceded in death by his brother, Roger Fairchild, Jr.; and sister Leona Gail Fairchild.

Private Interment with Military Honors will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
