Miss Veronica A. Bubel, formerly known as Sister Annette Francis O.S.F., age 83, of Brockton, Pa., died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
Sister Annette professed her vows as a Sister at our Lady of Angels Convent in Aston, Pa.
She practiced her vocation for 40 years, until returning home to Brockton. In retirement she worked with her sister Lee at Kostin's Notary Service, and as a substitute clerk for the Brockton Post Office.
Veronica, attended Blythe Twp. schools, and is a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Mary (Bresnie) Bubel.
She is survived by her
Three Sisters,
Mary (Bubel) Morgan,
Elizabeth "Lee" (Bubel) Kostin,
Theresa (Bubel) Pilo, all of Brockton;
One Brother,
John F. Bubel and his wife Florence of Tamaqua;
Many Nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, and Michael Bubel; sister Mrs. Helen Protivnak.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2009 and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, November 21, 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, at 11 o'clock AM Saturday, November 21, 2009, Rev. William Linkchorst officiating.
Interment will be at St. Bartholomew R.C.C. Cemetery, Brockton.
