Tophilia (Zynel) Ebling Houser, age 82, of 4th Street Weatherly, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton.
Born in Eckley, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Josephine(Stepanski) Zynel. She wa a 1947 graduate of Foster Twp High School.
Taffy retired from Hazleton National Bank having worked 20 years in the Weatherly, and Hazleton offices. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly, where she sang in the choir and taught religious education. She also was 4-H leader, and former treasurer of the Greater Weatherly Community Chest.
Taffy was predeceased by husbands Robert I Ebling in 1973 and Marvin E.Houser in 1994.
She is survived by her Son, Robert E. Ebling and his wife Donna of SilverSpring, Md.; Daughter, Mary E. (Ebling) Staudinger wife of Paul ofNiskayuna, N.Y.; Five grandchildren; Nathan, Caleb, Aaron, Hannah,and Samuel Staudinger
One Sister, Constance Knepper and her companion Bobby Hallahan of Weatherly;
One Brother, Eugene Zynel and his wife Joann of Freeland;
Six step chldren, her sisters-in-law, Haruko Zynel and Anna Zynel, neices, nephews, and step grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by sister, Mrs. Florence Balazs; brothers,Alfred, Valerian, and an infant brother Eugene Zynel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Sat. May 26, 2012 at 12 o'clock noon from Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane Street Weatherly, Pa. 18255, Rev. Floyd Caesar to officiate.
Friends may call in church from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
