Thomas "Whitey" S. Gerhard

Thomas "Whitey" S Gerhard, age 79, of Hudson Dr., Weatherly, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 in his home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Franklin Gerhard and the late Elizabeth (Phillips) Gerhard.
He served honorably in the United States Navy and he was a member of American Legion Post 360 of Weatherly.
A 1953 graduate of Weatherly High School, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Thomas was a member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly.
He retired from Dorr-Oliver, Hazleton as a storekeeper.
He is survived by his
Two Brothers,
Franklin Gerhard and his wife Thelma of Hazleton;
George J. Gerhard and his wife Evelyn of Zionsville, Pa.;
Many Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Donahue.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA. where the family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:00AM.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11 o'clock AM at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Reverend Donald Stump to officiate.
Interment with Military Honors at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
