Thomas Milot, 67 years of age, devoted husband, father and grandfather died Sunday October 14, 2012 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa, surrounded by his family.
He and his wife of 40 years, Audrey J. (Boner) reside on Green Street in Brockton.
Tom is also survived by his daughters, Heather J. wife of Michael Boyle of Brockton, Lori A. Milot, and her companion Michael Gramer of Orefield, Adrienne M. wife of Joseph Ligenza of Brockton, and Brooke L. Milot and her companion Todd Seybold of Conshohocken.
Tom was Pop to seven grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, Nathan, Sophia, Mason, Lauren, and Emma.
Sisters, Patricia Milot of Springfield, Va., Ann Packard, wife of the late Bob Packard, of San Antonio, Texas, Peggy Schilcher and her husband Dennis of Fort Worth; along with his brothers, James J. Milot and his wife Donna of Brockton, David Milot and his wife Kimberly of Lakewood, Ca., and William P. Milot and his wife Karen survive Tom. Many nieces, nephews, mother-in-law and brothers-in-law also survive Tom.
Born in Pottsville, Tom was the son of the late William, and Sophia (Lincovich) Milot.
He was a 1963 Marian Catholic High School graduate, and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Tom retired in 2007 from the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier in the Reading Post Office.
An avid sportsman, he played softball for the A.S.of I., and Brockton softball teams. Tom shot pool with the A.S.of I. team of Palo Alto, and was a member of the Senior Golf League at Mountain Valley.
Tom coached C.Y.O. Girls basketball, Tamaqua Little League from 1999-2003, and again in 2012.
He also coached Girls' Little League Softball.
He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 o’clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate, Military honors to follow.
Friends may call Wed. evening, October 17, 2012 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, PA., and on Thur. morning, October 18, 2012 from 9:45 to 10:30 A.M.
