Theresa M. Setzer

Theresa M. (Mint) Setzer, of Weatherly, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Hazleton General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson H. Setzer, who died in 1956.
Theresa centered her life on her devotion to the Lord and family. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes (St. Nicholas) R.C.C., in Weatherly. She was recognized by her beautiful singing voice as a young school girl and as member of the choir. She worked at annual church bazaars and enjoyed being with friends at Prime time club meetings. She also enjoyed traveling to musical conventions and going on trips with the Weatherly Friendship Club.
Born in Tresckow, she was the daughter of Salvadore and Bella (Rock) Mint. As a child, Theresa spent summers in Philadelphia to help in the home of her aunts. While there she attended etiquette school, which was evident in her gracious manner. During the Depression, she went to work to support the family. Later she and her husband worked at the Middletown, PA Air Depot. She retired from Tung-Sol after working many years as a quality control inspector.
Theresa is survived by
Two Daughters, Mary Lou (Setzer) Junas of Hazleton, Bella Ann (Setzer) Mick of Atlanta, GA;
One Sister, Thelma (Mint) Amendolare of Bridgewater, N.J.;
And a brother, Joseph Mint of Athens, Pa.;
Brothers-in-law, Herbert Setzer, and the late Michael Setzer;
Also by three grandchildren, Paul N. Junas, Kristin Barata, wife of Daniel, and Keith Junas;
Two great-grandchildren, Arianna, and Daniel K. Barata; many nieces, and nephews;
She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and left lasting, loving impressions on them.
Preceded in death by brothers, Girard Mint, Domenic A. Mente, and Michael Mint.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street Weatherly, Philip J. Jeffries F.D.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, July 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane St., Weatherly, Pa. at 10 o'clock AM on Sat. July 21, 2012, Rev. Floyd Caesar, and Rev. James J. Burdess to concelebrate.
Interment will be at St. Nicholas R.C.C. Cemetery. No morning calling hours..
