Theresa Lesko

Theresa A. (Washelofsky) Lesko, beloved mother and grandmother, of Lausanne Twp., Weatherly, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at home while in the care of her family after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Theresa attended Hazle Township High School and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church of Weatherly. She worked for Tung-Sol and RCA before retiring from Weatherwood Carbon County Home where she worked in the dietary department. Theresa was an excellent cook and house keeper and enjoyed crocheting. She loved sightseeing, shopping and Broadway shows. Theresa’s adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the most joy to her life.
Born in Hazle Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Pavilsky) Washelofsky. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Joseph W. Lesko Sr. on December 7, 2013. Also preceded in death by brothers, John Jr., Edward and Frank and sisters Mrs. Kathleen Mingione and Mrs. Jennie Stefanisko.
Surviving are son, Joseph J. Lesko Jr. and his wife Sharon; daughters, Andrea M. (Lesko) Pudliner and her husband Harold, Cheryl A. (Lesko) Hirko and her husband David, all of Weatherly. Grandchildren, Erin Visicaro and her husband Philip, Nicolai Lesko and his husband David Lisk, Caitlin Anthony and her husband Girard, Olivia Hirko and Karoline Hirko; three great-grandchildren, Philip J. and Natasha R. Visicaro and Riley R. Anthony. Theresa is also survived by her loving twin sister Eleanor Barna, Freeland.
She is survived by many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pennsylvania, 18255, (570) 427-4231.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, East Main Street, Weatherly, PA on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11 o'lock A.M. Rev. Mariusz Bezek, O. S. J. to officiate.
