Mrs. Thelma E. (Miller) Hoffman, age 100, of Weatherly, Pa., died Sunday, March 27, 2011, in the care of her family at home on South Lehigh Gorge Drive in Weatherly.
A member of St. John's Church of Rockport, Thelma was the last survivor of the founding members of the L.L. Fire Co. Ladies Aux.
She ran her families country store Miller's General Store on S. Lehigh Gorge Drive until the time of her passing.
Born in Lehigh Twp., she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Jane (Newton) Miller.
She is survived by her
Two Daughters,
Thelma E. (Hoffman) Mork of Squires, Mo.,
Barbara (Hoffman) Lore (wife of the late Claude) of Weatherly;
Two Sons,
William "Cody" Hoffman of Weatherly,
Daniel Hoffman and his wife Barbara of Weatherly, Pa.
Nine grandchildren;
Twenty-five great grandchildren;
Twenty-nine great great grandchildren;
Preceded in death by her sons, Richard, and James Hoffman; brothers, James, and Robert Miller; sister, Miss. Dorothy Miller; and former husband, William C. Hoffman.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./ Sup.where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011.
Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2011, Rev. Marjorie Keiter of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church Lansford, Pa. to officiate.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
