Susan Fisher

Mrs. Susan (Baranovich) Fisher, age 89, of West Bertsch Street Lansford, Pa., died Friday, June 4, 2010, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home in Lehighton, where she had resided for the past eighteen months.

A member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church of Lansford, Susan graduated from the former Coaldale High School in 1939.

Susan, was a member of the Church's Ladies Aide Assoc., and Quilters.

She worked for the former Kiddie Close of Lansford.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Lyssey) Baranovich.

She is survived by her

One Daughter,
Miss Linda E. Fisher of Lansford, with whom she resided;

One Sister,
Mrs. Olga (Baranovich) Kuzma of Tamaqua;

Nieces, and nephews;

Preceded in death by her husband, Harvey B. Fisher on January 4, 2007; brothers, Matthew, and John Baranovich; sisters, Mrs. Anna Valuck, and Miss Mildred Baranovich.

Arrangements are being handled by Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 200 East Bertsch Street, Lansford, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2010.

Funeral Service will be at St. John Slovak Lutheran at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2010, Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating.

Interment will be at Grand Army Cemetery in Summit Hill, Pa.
