Susan E. Brown, formerly of Lehighton Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on
Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation in Allentown.
Born Tuesday, May 20, 1947 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred H.
Brown, and the late Rosemary (Miller) Smith, wife of Harvey E. Smith Sr.
Susan is survived by half siblings on her mother’s side: Linda Muth wife of Kenneth of
Orefield, PA, Cindy Hufsmith of Tarpon Springs, FL. Harvey E. Smith Jr. and his wife,
Elaine, of New Ringgold, PA, Craig Smith and his wife Nicole, of Franklin, NC, She also
is survived by half siblings on her father’s side: Lynda Brown of Texas, Fred Brown and
his wife, Anne, of Schnecksville, Vernon Brown and his wife Kathy, of North Carolina,
Larry Brown and his wife, Sherry, of Hamburg, and Tracy Brown of Allentown.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive Susan.
A graduate of Parkland High School, Susan worked for Fashion Prints of Coplay for
many years as a paint mixologist, mixing custom colors for silk screening. She was
active in her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. Susan had many talents, both as an artist
and as lead singer in an all-girls band, Cinnamon, and the rock band, Exit 44. Susan
enjoyed the outdoors and was an accomplished equestrian, fisherman, and gardener.
She also raised chickens and ducks, while in the companionship of her beloved dogs.
Intrigued by Native American culture, Susan spent many days searching for and
collecting early artifacts.
