Steve Daderko, 92 years of age of VanGelder Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at home.
Preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Susan (Dalto) Daderko on May 26, 2002, he is survived by; sons, Stephen J. Daderko and his wife Barbara of Nesquehoning, James W. Daderko with whom he resided, Greg M. Daderko and his wife Janice of Plainfield, IL, sisters, Ann Williams of Summit Hill, Kathryn Puschak of Coaldale, Irene Davis of Summit Hill, Elizabeth "Betty" Weaver of Dallas; grand children, Peter M., Kyle S., Brian, and Patrick; 5 great grand children, nieces and nephews as well as many friends survive Steve.
Born Tuesday, February 16, 1926 in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania. the son of the late Michael and Mary (Powanda) Daderko he was also predeceased by; sisters, Nancy and Helen Daderko; brothers, Peter, Michael, Frank, and John Daderko.
A graduate of Summit Hill High School, Steve served honorably in the United States Navy. He retired from the former Atlas Powder Company of Reynolds having worked as a carpenter and was quite the handyman helping family and friends.
A member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Lansford, the South Ward Fire Company, Tamaqua American Legion, and Keystone Hunt & Fish Club. Steve enjoyed shooting pool and playing golf.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2018 from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 113 West Bertsch Street Lansford, Pa 18232 at 11 o'clock A.M., Father Robert J. Teklinski to officiate.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 P.M. A Panachida Service will begin the evening at 6:00 P.M.
Interment SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Military Honors to be bestowed.
