Stephen R. McGregor, husband, father, grandfather, brother of East High Street Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital - Allentown Campus at the age of 63.

Survived by his wife of 35 years, Shelley M. (Donaldson) McGregor; daughter, Marisa M. Kunkel wife of Brent of Tamaqua; sons, Nicholas J. Donaldson and his wife Rachel of Pulaski, VA, Anthony R. Stromberg of Cottage Grove, MN, Ian P. McGregor of Coaldale, Colin S. McGregor of Tamaqua; brothers, Terrence McGregor of North Wales, Michael McGregor of Ringtown, and Robert McGregor to whom he served as guardian; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jr., Wayne, Lacy, Levi, Kiely, and Faith.

A graduate of Upper Dublin High School, Stephen served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Veterinary Tech .

Stephen worked at Fimbel Door Corporation as a sheet metal technician until being laid off at the age of 52. After his layoff, Stephen enrolled at Schuylkill Co. Vocational School earning his L.P.N., and began working at the Wernersville State Hospital.

Stephen enjoyed drumming, gardening, and his dogs, Eddie, Alvin, and Ronon. Stephen and his wife Shelley served as Sextons at Zion Stone Church in West Penn Twp. for many years.

Born Friday, September 10, 1954 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Robert L., and Irene L. (Storey) McGregor. He was also predeceased by his sister, Susan Moore on October 24, 2017.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.

A Rememberance Service will take place at 11 o'clock AM on Saturday February 24, 2018 from the funeral home, Rev. Jeremy Benack to officiate. Friends may call on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of remembrance.

Interment with Military Honors will be at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pennsylvania.
