Stephen J. Getten, Jr.

Stephen J. Getten,Jr., age 47, of White Haven, Pa., died suddenly Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Geisenger Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda Marie (Figueroa) Getten.
A Bergenfield High School graduate, Stephen studied draftsmanship, and business at Bergen Community College of NJ.
As a youth, he operated a lawn care business in New Jersey, and then worked with his family running the former Blue Waters, Inc. Pet Supply of Hazleton.
After the store closing, Stephen worked for Clear Force One of Hazleton, and most recently for Aqua America of White Haven.
He and his wife also were property managers.
A car enthusiast, he enjoyed rebuilding classic autos and racing.
Born in Oradell, NJ., he was the son of Stephen, Sr. and Priscilla (Bennett) Getten of Albrightsville.
He is also survived by,
One Daughter,
Sonia Angelique Getten;
Son,
Damian Andrew Getten both at home;
Brother,
Kevin Getten and his fiancee Diane Tabacco of Nashville, Tenn.;
Sister-in-law-Ruthann Getten of Weatherly;
Nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth S. Getten on January 20, 2012.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, and on Sat. August 4, 2012 from 9 to 9:45 A.M. at Church of St. Patrick's 411 Allegheny St. White Haven, Pa. 18661.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Church of St. Patrick's at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012, Rev. John F. McHale to officiate.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
