Stella Pispeky

Miss Stella Pispeky, age 86, of Ridge Street Lansford, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp.

A member of Trinity St. Phillips Episcopal Church of Lansford, where she sang in the choir and served as treasurer for many years.

Stella worked at Lansford Telephone Co./Alltel and she was a 1944 graduate of Lansford High School.

She was a member of D.V.R.A., and one of her favorite places to be was Lake Greenwood.

Stella traveled around the U.S. extensively, and was an avid yoga practitioner since the 1960's. She loved beautiful flowers, good Slovak food, art, and was a beloved and caring aunt to her 6 nieces and 3 nephews and their children.

Born in Lansford, she was the ninth of twelve children born to the late Frank and Josephine (Studenc) Pispeky.

She is survived by her;

One Sister,
Margaret Werner wife of Donald of Sellersville;

One Brother,
Mahlon Pispeky and his wife Ruth of Springfield, VA;

Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

Preceded in death by sisters, Anna and Mary Pispeky and Josephine Warner; Brothers, Steve, Michael, Joseph, Frank, and John.

Arrangements are being handled by Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 10-11 AM.

Memorial Service will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11 o'clock AM at the Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home, Reverend Marjorie Keiter to officiate.

Interment at G.A.R. Cemetery, Summit Hill, PA.

Memorials in her honor may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
