Shirley J. Dreisbach

December 14, 1934 — April 11, 2025

Shirley J. Dreisbach, of Allentown, and previously from Tamaqua, passed away at home, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving children on the morning of April 11, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William Stewart of Salem NJ, and Jeanette Spedden Bentz of Astin, PA

Shirley was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald G. Dreisbach in 2003, her daughter Renee Weston in 1994 and sister Audrey Watson.

Shirey worked as a secretary in her younger years at Sun Oil Shipyard, the Chrysler Corporation, and retired from J.E. Morgan Knitting mills after 18 years of service.

She graduated from Nether Providence High School in 1952, where she was proudly crowned May Queen.

Survivors include Son, Donald W. Dreisbach and his companion Diane Williams of Allentown, daughter, Trasey Reitz of Neffs, and daughter Kelly Wiley, of Allentown. Son-in-law Frank Weston (Carol), Son-in-law Tom Baatz (Shannon). Grandsons, Frank Weston, Michael Weston, Jason Weston (Nancy), Donovan Baatz, Nick Reitz, Derek Reitz (Kelsey). Granddaughters Elyse Espino (Jared), and Lindsey Baatz (T.J.) Great grandchildren: Rylynn Espino, Blayce Espino, Hudson Espino, Mason Weston, and Guy Reitz. She has cousins, many nieces and nephews who Shirey adored and other extended family members. Also, her dear friend Regina Stepp.

Shirey's greatest joys in life were being a wife, a mother, and a Mommom. She loved cooking big meals for her family, and she was famous for her rice pudding and sweet pickles.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home in Tamaqua, PA. A viewing will be held from10:00 -11:00 am. Interment to follow at Sky View Memorial Park.
