Shirley G. Bean

Shirley G (Morgan) Bean, mother, and grandmother, age 82, formerly of Hunter St., Tamaqua, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua.

Shirley had been a self-employed housekeeper.

She had attended Frackville High School and enjoyed swimming, gardening and shopping.

Shirley was an avid animal lover and a huge Elvis Presley fan.

Born in Gilberton, she was the daughter of the late William Morgan and the late Gertrude (Jones) Morgan-Parrish and Howard Parrish.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Kathy Gerber and Michelle D. Sedar both of Tamaqua;

Two Sisters,
Donna Parrish of Pottsville and
Sandra Parrish-Richter wife of Brian of Orwigsburg;

One Brother,
Howard Parrish of Atlas, Pa.;

Six grandchildren
Four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her sisters, Cecelia Morgan-Krause, Carol Berger, Barbara Morgan-Day and Loretta Morgan.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,

Funeral Services will be held on Sat., January 11, 2014 at 12 o'clock noon from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc.

Friends shall be received from 10:00 A.m. until time of services.

Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery Tamaqua.
