Sharon A. Gimbi

Sharon A. (Kuritz) Gimbi, age 65, of Hazleton Twp., Pa., died Friday, February 3, 2012, at Geisenger Medical Center in Danville.

Sharon was a 1964 Weatherly High School graduate, and had worked for Weatherwwod Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. for forty years until her recent retirement as a nurse's aide.

Sharon's love of animals was evidenced by serving as an advocate for their well being.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Krell) Kuritz.

She is survived by her husband Clarence F. Gimbi;

Two Daughters,
Sharlene A. (Gimbi) Bittner wife of Bradford of Weatherly,
Clarissa M. (Gimbi) Ashenfelder wife of Matthew of Berwick;

Two grandchildren, Nicholas Bittner, and Carly Ashenfelder;

Preceded in death by her grandson Carl J. Bittner on October 28, 2011.

211 First Street Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2012

A morning calling Hr. will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2012, at St. Matthews Church 3153 Quakake Road Weatherly, Pa..

Funeral service will be at St. Matthew's Union Church at 11o'clock AM Thursday, February 9, 2012.

Interment will be at Postupack's Family Cemetery of Weatherly.

Memorials may be made to the Hazleton or Weatherly Animal Shelters.
