Shane M. Curry, age 23, of White Haven, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, February 6, 2011, unexpectedly in Kidder Township.
Shane, was a 2005 Weatherly High School graduate, where he was a member of the varsity golf and baseball teams. Matriculating at Temple University in Philadelphia, he was a junior business major with an emphasis in advertising.
Shane, was a ski representative for Volkl Skis, and when in the city, worked for Billy Buy's Gold.
A free style skier, Shane competed nationally. He was a Frisbee golf enthusiast.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Michael Curry of Lake Harmony and Sally (Keiper) Curry of White Haven.
He is also survived by his two sisters: Nadine Curry of Zionsville, PA and Gabby Green of Lake Harmony: a brother: Jimmy A. Curry of Phoenix, Arizona; maternal grandmother: Betty Keiper of White Haven; paternal grandparents: John and Joan Curry of Lake Harmony; Sally's fiancee: Dan Sosa; Michael's fiancee: Marguerite Green and her children, Cassie and Danny Henry. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pennsylvania, Philip J. Jeffries F.D., Sup. where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2011 and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 AM Thursday, February 10, 2011. A time of prayer will conclude Thursday's calling hour.
