Paul A. O’Malley of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday June 1, 2015 in Irvine Calif.
On April 1, 1946, Paul married Mary (Zayleskie) O'Malley who passed away on October 8, 2011.
Born on June 13, 1937 the son of the late Michael P. and Ellen E. (Dougherty) O’Malley. He was one of 7 children.
A decorated veteran, Paul joined the Marines in 1955. He served in the infantry for 3 combat tours in Vietnam, and traveled the world during his call to duty.
Paul and Mary were blessed with 2 daughters - Kathleen in 1969 while stationed in Georgia, and Eileen in 1973 while in Bermuda.
Paul retired to Southern California in 1988 from the Marine Corps after 31 years of active duty service.
Paul and his family have been residents of Irvine, California for 32 years; however, Paul always looked forward to his yearly trip home to Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
Sargent Major O'Malley was both respected and loved by all those who had the privilege to know him. Semper Fi !!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., 301 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania on Friday June 12th at 11 o'clock AM.
Friends may call in church from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment with Military Honors St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
