Sandra H. (Kalish) Gerber, R.N., wife, mother, and grandmother age 70, of Brockton, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
Survived by her husband of fifty years, Donald C. Gerber.
A 1960 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Sandra earned her R.N. from the Hazleton State Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for 40 plus years at Gnaden Huetten Hospital now Blue Mt. Health System, Lehighton Campus in maternity, and served as nursing supervisor.
A member of the First United Methodist Church of Tamaqua, Sandra enjoyed reading, boating, fishing, and trips to the casino.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Hazle (McMichael) Kalish.
She is also survived by her;

Shelly (Gerber) Tomaszewski wife of James of Louisville, KT,
Kelly (Gerber) Reaman wife of Scott of Brockton;
One brother;
Four grandchildren, Abby and Adam Shumgart, Grace, and Maggie Tomaszewski.
