Sally A. (Rathbun) Neumann, 67 years of age, of Valley Road Tamaqua, was taken into the hands of her loving and gracious God on Monday evening, April 23, 2012 at St. Luke’s University Hospital -Coaldale Campus.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George H. Neumann, II.
Sally graduated from Shawnee High School Springfield, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green University. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was also quite the entrepreneur. A private property manager, Sally also owned and operated Concepts of Color & Design for many years.
She was an active member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua. Sally served on the Tamaqua Historical Review Committee, Tamaqua Historical Society, Tamaqua Beautification, was a Lionette, and was a Past-President of the Tamaqua Rotary.
Her mission was to serve and Sally accomplished that by volunteering with Diakon Ministries, Tamaqua Adult Day Care and serving on the advisory board of the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
In her spare time, Sally was an amateur pilot.
For her civic endeavors, and unselfish commitment to Tamaqua, Sally was awarded the Tamaqua Citizen of the Year.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Harris) Rathbun.
Sally is also survived by her children;

Heather L. Mellor, and her fiance, Steve Kuba, of Hazle Township;

George H. “Chip” Neumann, III and,his wife,Gina of Lehighton;
Grandchildren whom affectionately referred to her as Omah;
Torey, Nico, Brody, Brielle, Stosh, Seth, Shelby, Morgan, and Chase;
Great granddaughter, Gracie.
Arrangements to be over seen by the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street,Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
Memorial Service Sat., April 28, 2012, at 11 o'clock AM from Trinity U.C.C., 22 Lafayette Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. The Rev. Thomas H. Reinsel to officiate.
Friends shall be received from 9:30 AM until time of services.
