Ruthann Tizekker
December 23, 1941 — October 3, 2017
Ruthann Tizekker, mother, baba, and sister, of Hudsondale Street Weatherly, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning October 3, 2017 while in the loving care of her family at the age of 75.
Widow of Paul Tizekker who passed away in 1968, she is survived by; sons, Norman W. Weigand of Weatherly, Lewis "Fred" Peltz with whom she resided, Stephen P. Tizekker and his wife Brooke of Nesquehoning; brother, John Weigand and his wife Patricia of Weatherly; her caregiver and granddaughter, Dorothy J. Weigand; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Born in Weatherly on December 23, 1941 the daughter of the late Lewis, and Dorothy (Hartzog) Weigand, she was also predeceased by her companion of thirty-five years, William Coxe; brothers, Norman H., and Wayne C. Weigand; sister, Elizabeth J. Williams; grandchildren, Billy Tizekker, and Brea Tizekker.
Ruthann was a homemaker, and member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly. She was an animal lover, who enjoyed quilting. Ruthann's home was open to all the children of the neighborhood.
Funeral arrangement's have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. (570) 427-4231.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 6, 2017 at 2 o'clock P.M. from the funeral home. Friends shall be received on Thursday evening October 5, 2017 at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M, and on the afternoon of services from 1:00 P.M. until time of services.
Interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
