Mrs. Ruth A (Moyer) Leiby, age 89, of West Penn Township, died Monday, January 3, 2011, at her home.
Ruth was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of West Penn.
She was a 1938 graduate of Tamaqua High School and graduated from McCann's Business School and Kutztown Teachers' College.
She was a teacher for 8 years at West Penn one-room schoolhouses in Andreas, S. Tamaqua and Zion School.
Born in West Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Lewis M. Moyer and the late Alice (Kershner) Moyer.
She is survived by her
husband of 69 years, Marvin A. Leiby
daughter, Nancy A. DiBuo wife of Louis of New Ringgold
son, Lamar M. Leiby and his wife Doris of New Ringgold
sister, Neda Van Buskirk and her husband Ralph of Andreas
four grandchildren
six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by brothers, Lewis D., Clayton and infant boy Moyer; sisters, Stella Hettinger, Kathryn Kern and Mammie Moyer.
Arrangements are being handled by the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 9:30-11:00AM.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Pastor Gary Snyder officiating.
Interment will be at West Penn Evangelical Cemetery.
