Ruth (Alden) Gerhard, age 90, of Wetzel Run Dr., Weatherly, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, Weatherly.
Widow of Roland W. Gerhard who died on 12/19/2009 she is survived by; Sons, James G Gerhard of Barrington, NJ,, Thomas A Gerhard of Beaver Meadows; grandchildren, James G. Gerhard, Jr., and Robert Jake Gerhard; great grandchildren, Ainsleigh, James Quinton, Morgaine, Ryan, Jaden, and Conner; nieces, Adele Wence, Janey Moran; nephew, Robert Hause.
Born in Hazleton on May 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel (Powell) Alden. she was also predeceased by; a son, William R. Gerhard in 2002; Sisters, Mrs. Doris Taylor, Mrs. Evelyn Verbonitz; brothers, John, Russell, and Ralph Alden.
A member of Hazleton Community Church, Ruth took solace in reading the Bible.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA.
Graveside Service will be on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pennsylvania at 11 o'clock A.M..
