Russell W Holden, age 83, of Ashley Lane, Lehighton, Pa., died Monday, September 23, 2013, at home.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Frantz) Holden.

Russell retired from Lockheed Martin Corp. after 29 years of service as Manager of computer operations.

He was an Air Force Korean War veteran.

Russell was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Palmerton.

He was a LaSalle University graduate where he earned a degree in Industrial Management.

He was a member of the N.R.A. and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Born in Whitefield, NH, he was the son of the late Horace Holden and the late Anne (Freeman) Holden.

He is also survived by his

Two Daughters,
Lori Schnell of Tamaqua and
Lisa (Schnell) Kresge of Palmerton;

Two Sisters,
Silvia Stone and Florence Berube both of Groveton, NH;

One Brother,
Kenneth Holden and his wife Sandy of Groveton, NH;

Five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mary Holden; sisters, Janet Bean, Dorothy Holden and Julia Crawford; brothers, Freeman, Larry, Robert, Ronald, Dean and Harold "Kelly".

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 o'clock AM at St. John's Lutheran Church 2915 Fireline Rd., Palmerton Pa., Rev. Jody L. Neifert to officiate. Call from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment with Military Honors at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church.
