Roy I. "Buddy" I.Brode, Jr., age 76, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, October 23, 2009, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, and United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
Bud, was a member of Trinity U.C.C. and the Citizens Fire Company of Tamaqua.
He had worked for Honeywell manufacturing in Pottstown, Pa. until the time of his illness.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Roy Brode, Sr. and Alberta I (Gould) Brode of Tamaqua.
He is also survived by his

Jane Steigerwalt of Tamaqua, Pa.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 28, 2009, Rev. David W. Grant officiaitng.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
