Rose M (Laganosky) Torgersen, age 95, of Buck Mtn. Rd., Weatherly, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly.
She was the widow of Martin Torgersen, Sr. who passed away 4/13/1999.
Rose had previously worked for Tung-Sol and retired from the WhiteHaven Center.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly.
Born in Eckley, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Laganosky and the late Veronica (Oleszefski) Laganosky.
She is survived by her
Two Sons,
Thomas Torgersen and his wife Patricia of Forestdale, MA;
Martin Torgersen and his wife Margaret of Weatherly;
One Daughter,
Rose Damiano wife of John B. of Delaware;
One Sister,
Leona Biggan of Sandy Valley.
Eight Grandchildren
Twelve Great-Grandchildren
Seven Great Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Casimere, Francis, Valentine, Thomas and John Laganosky; sisters, Catherine Journick, Anna Ferraro and Helen Boyce; Grandson, Joseph Scott; Great-Grandson, Steven Torgersen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Funeral service will be at Phiip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 23, 2015, Pastor Dawn Richie to officiate.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
Memorials in her honor may be sent to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 335 Third St., Weatherly, PA 18255.
