Rose H. (Smarr) Baddick, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother 88 years of age, of Willing Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Rush Township.

Widow of Louis P. "Speck" Baddick she is survived by her children; daughters, Mrs. Donna Malaska wife of Peter of Nesquehoning, Mrs. Rosanne Facini wife of Albert Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., Mrs. Lisa Knoblauch wife of Terry of Tamaqua, Mrs. Nancy Sunday wife of Dean of Tamaqua, Mrs. Cynthia Zukus wife of Lenny of Tuscarora; sons, Robert "Bert" Baddick and his companion Suzette of Williamsport, Louis Baddick and his companion Tara Titus of Mechanicsburg, Richard Baddick and his wife Renee of Tamaqua; daughter-in-law Mrs. Debra Baddick of Tamaqua; twenty-one grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, and nephews survive her.

A member of St, John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Rose was also active in the C.W.E.A. of the church. Rose volunteered at the Little League stand , and was active in the Dutch Hill Park Assoc.

Born Tuesday, October 2, 1928 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Andrew, and Anna (Hudock) Smarr. Rose was also predeceased by her son James Joseph Baddick on July 18, 1984; granddaughter, Jamie Knoblauch; sisters, Mrs. Florence Slepecki, Mrs. Eleanore Tassone, Mrs. Vivian Zembo; brothers, Andrew, Frances, and Anthony Smarr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock AM on Friday June 2, 2017 from St John XXIII R.C.C. located at 264 W Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

No morning calling.

Memorials in her name to a charity of one's choice.

Interment will be at Sky-View Memorial Park Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
