Ronald M. Schock , 78 years of age of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Friday, December 19, 2014, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
Survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Diane J. (Shellhamer) Schock.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, Ron matriculated to Bloomsburg University earning a B.A. in Education. Ron's tenure as an educator extended thirty plus years teaching in Tamaqua, Frederick Maryland, retiring from the East Penn School District.
Ronald served honorably in the United State Air force having been stationed in Alaska. He was a member of the Tamaqua American Legion.
A member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township, Ron was also a member of the Tamaqua Masonic Lodge # 238 F&A.M., Ancient Scottish Rite Bloomsburg Consistory, and Rajah Temple Reading.
An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and trap shooting. He was a member of Ontelaunee Hunting and Fishing Club of New Tripoli, a lifetime member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, and the N.R.A.. Ron was also a member of the West Penn Fire Company.
Born Monday, May 4, 1936 in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Maurice I. Schock, and Verna (Billman) Scott.

Seven grand children., Taylor, Ryan, Missy, Trevor, Alex, Chase, and Seve.

A Gathering of Friends shall take place on Tuesday morning December 23, 2014 at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home, Rev. Michael A. Frost to officiate.
Masonic services 10:30 A.M.
Interment with Military Honors, will be in Zion Stone Church Cemetery New Ringgold, Pennsylvania.
