Robert P. Thrash, Sr., 83, of Weatherly, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Edith Mae (Davenport) Thrash; daughters, Barbara E. Walck and husband Dale, Allentown; Donna J. Roberts and husband Mark, Camp Hill; Elizabeth A. Bartosevich and husband Edward, Jr., Weatherly; Carol L. Miller and husband Trevor, Lehighton; Susan J.Thrash and companion Diego Lopez, Kunkletown; son, Robert P. Thrash, Jr. and companion Dana Kashula, Weatherly; grandchildren, James Roberts and wife Allison, Jessica Roberts and companion Chase Molden, Edward Bartosevich III and family friend Tiana Genetti, Amanda Bartosevich and companion Wally Hess, Ethan Miller, Alison Miller, Aaron Miller, and Ella Miller; great grandchildren, Tyson Hess, Kara Roberts, and Conor Hess.
A 1952 graduate of Weatherly High School, Bob served honorably in the United States Army during peacetime from 1956-1958. He was last employed as an electrician by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, retiring after 18 years of employment. In addition, Bob and his son started R.P. Thrash & Son Electrical Contracting and worked together for many years.
Bob had belonged to the White Haven Fire Company and was most recently a member of the L&L Fire Company, serving as fire chief for several years.
Born on April 30, 1934 in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Edith A. (Beiter) Thrash. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer A. Thrash.
Bob will be long remembered for his great sense of humor and loving heart.

Interment with Military Honors will be in Union Cemetery, Weatherly, PA.
