Robert C Sorensen, age 95, of Creek Lane, New Ringgold, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at home in the care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Chiavetta) Sorensen in 1988.
Robert was a Power Plant Controller for the Dept. of the Navy out of Philadelphia.
He was a WWII Pearl Harbor Navy Veteran.
He was Catholic by faith.
Robert was a gentleman farmer who raised dairy and beef cattle. He loved horses and all animals and he enjoyed gardening.
Born in Superior, Wisconsin on July 2, 1920, he was the son of the late Alfred Sorensen and the late Minnie (Gianiera) Sorensen.
He is survived by his

Robert V Sorensen and his wife Deborah of Greenwood, DE;
Sister,
Ione Giacinti of Florida;
Three Grandchildren,
Robert C., Christian A. and his wife Sara and Eric D. and his wife Jeanette;
Three Great-Grandchildren,
Dale, Neva and Leif.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and George; sisters, Lillian Hanley, Dorothy Johnson, Matilda Sorensen and Carol Jean Herring.
Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA.
Private Interment with Military Honors will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
