Robert R. Smith, 78 of Maple Street, Weatherly, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at St. Luke's Manor in Hazleton.
Born Friday, January 1, 1943 in Hazleton the son of the late Ralph, and Martha (Vincent) Smith. Robert was also predeceased by; son, Eric Smith; sister, Jeanne-Ann Marie (Smith) Hacker; companion, Kathleen (White) Scruggs.
Surviving are sons, Robbi Smith of Hazleton, Brian Smith of Waynesburg; daughters, Penni L. Straubinger of Hazleton, Tracy A. Smith of Hazleton; step children, Richard Rice, Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Kaylee E. Scruggs; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nephew, Dwayne Hacker and his wife Connie.
A graduate of Weatherly High School, Robert served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, and fishing.
